![]() The game is set within a post-apocalyptic, open world environment that encompasses a scaled region consisting of the ruins of Washington, D.C., and much of the countryside to the north and west of it, referred to as the Capital Wasteland. It was released worldwide in October 2008 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The game marks a major shift in the series by using 3D graphics and real-time combat, replacing the 2D isometric graphics and turn-based combat of previous installments. The third major installment in the Fallout series, it is the first game to be developed by Bethesda after acquiring the rights to the franchise from Interplay Entertainment. Now, if only I had my 360 back, so I could use it to my own benefit.Fallout 3 is a 2008 action role-playing game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. You'll make a great profit in caps, plus you'll be back in a place where you can hopefully rest so you don't have to use stimpaks. If you have, immediate fast travel back and sell it off. Take the valuable weapons (the enclave soldiers have very high value equipment). Remember to use cover, and have plenty of food/stimpaks.Īfter the battle, make sure to loot the bodies. Take out the weaker ones by aiming for the brain (it should only take a couple of shots). If you can, tackle the Mister Handy last (since it's tougher to kill). Don't waste your grenades, especially on the Mister Handy. You should be going for the 95% headshots in VATS, and taking the enemy down. You'll take a small amount of damage, but it's worth preserving your ammount. Once you thin the herd out (killing one or two, and doing goodly damage to the others), wait for some more action points and close the range. If you run out of action points, make sure you have plenty of Jet- it's lying everywhere, so this shouldn't be a problem. Then, switch to a rifle of some kind, and finish the weakest ones off. Save your Fatman for another day (when you're fighting a Supermutant Behemouth, or perhaps a group of Deathclaws). They tend to cluster, and two grenades will be plenty enough to take out one and do a lot of splash damage to the others. Grenades are a good weapon for the enclave soldiers. I'd rather be cowardly than, well, restarting my last save game. Don't be ashamed of running away until you can find something to take cover behind. The enemy will continue to shoot, but as long as the corner of the building, or piece of rubble, is large enough, you'll be unharmed. USE COVER! You must find something to hide behind (other than a car), pop out, use up all your action points, and then hide again. If you don't have a place to rest and store equipment, the game is infinitely tougher. ![]() Also, complete The Power of the Atom, and get a place to live. Go do that first, and then get back to me. ![]() I won't ruin those quests for you, but both start at Rivet City. Go complete either Stealing Independence (and get Lincoln's Repeater) or The Replicated Man (and get a really sweet laser rifle). ![]() Before you do anything, make sure you have a good weapon. These fights are a bit more challenging than some of the others, due to their wide open nature, especially if your level isn't that high (my friend being at a 9 or so). The fight will also be out in the open (so there's no hope of jumping back into the next room and tossing some mines in the doorway). The Enclave in the Wasteland will always fight you in groups, whether that be an officer and 3 Enclave soldiers, or a group of robots. ![]() I'm not really sure what made him suck at games like this all of a sudden (he played Oblivion, for crying out loud), but he asked for some help. One of my friends is having issues getting killed repeatedly by the Enclave. ![]()
